 ERICA DILANJIAN
After many years of trying to outrun my unhappy self, she finally caught up to me. I had done the best I could to suppress my emotional pain through addictions and unhealthy behavior and relationships. After letting go of certain addictions a few years back I still had all this emotional material sitting inside me that hadn’t been dealt with. I feared that if I did not find a way to rid the cause, it would only be a matter of time before the demon returned tempting me into old dysfunctional behaviors. Being no stranger to church every Sunday, anti-depressants and psychotherapy, I knew there had to be some other way.
When I lived in New York from 2006-2007, I was at a seminar and ran into a woman who called herself a life coach. She was a very unique woman and it had sparked my interest. With daily emotional outbursts, anxiety, depression, rage, racing thoughts and feeling lost, I was at my wits end. I was living in my own personal hell. I had moved to Las Vegas in the summer of 2008 and in the spring of 2009, in a state of unknown surrender I had searched google for a life coach in Las Vegas. You know that old saying, “When the student is ready the teacher appears?” Well there she was, beaming through my computer screen in thousands of lit up pixels boldly standing out: Transformational Life Coach - Lisa Ulshafer. When I read her profile it resonated with me instantly. When I met her for the first time it felt like a sense of going home.
Lisa introduced me to a process called the TransCovery Process that I feel has not only changed my life but has perhaps even saved it. Lisa has taught me how to become more aware and make contact with the energy when my emotions are up and dancing with that fine line of what feels like insanity. It’s a great gift to feel your emotions, release them, and thank them for the lessons they have taught you.
Lisa illuminates so many truths, which have given me such a new perspective on looking at things. Through her gentle nature and nurturing wisdom she reflects back strength and is very empowering through example. This work is an empowering process that allows you to become that source of strength for yourself, as opposed to always looking outward for the answers. Although I am the one ultimately going within, she has assisted me in that process and now I have a much better handle on my emotions. I’ve set boundaries and have learned the most important thing - self love.
The most endearing thing about Lisa and the incredible work that she does is never once does she tell you what she thinks you should or should not do, rather, she guides you on a journey to find the truth, to find the answers that lie within you.
Since working with Lisa I feel that this experience we call life has become much more enriching and authentic. I am so grateful for now having the tools to work with my emotional pain when it becomes activated. I’ve also made contact with my soul’s purpose and have been able to let go of situations and relationships that were toxic and no longer serving me. My overall well-being has increased and I have been gaining the courage to step into my power and feel the worthiness of all the amazing things that I so rightfully deserve.
This is a choice, and it’s the most important choice I’ve ever made. Life still flows but now I’m learning to flow with it instead of against it. I am forever grateful.
